Camping Odyssey

Tomorrow the journey begins so I thought I'd just pop a copy of our itinerary on here in case any one is interested in where we're going to be and when:

We have identified (but not booked) a campsite in most areas so, if everything goes according to plan we'll have somewhere to stay each night.

Those of you who know us well, will be aware of the arguments Chris and I have had over maps and navigation. For this trip we decided to err on the side of caution and invest in a 'crap nav'. At least we can then be united in shouting at it, and not shouting at each other.

Well, we're nearly packed. By this time tomorrow we will be getting ready to eat our last meal at home for a while and set off on our adventure - what fun!

Birthday Girl

Although it isn't Shannon's birthday until Saturday, she had her birthday treat yesterday to avoid missing out while we are away on our travels. She had decided to take her friend Amy, and Alex, to Aerial Extreme at Willen and then out to lunch.

I did briefly consider joining them but I'm too much of a chicken. It was quite hairy at times just watching. Shannon was very confident and intrepid but Amy was a bit more nervous. Alex and I had a little bet on who would be the more 'shrieky' of the girls - I won, it was Amy!

The photo on the left shows Shannon on the top ropes on the right. Above is Amy negotiating one of the higher level challenges. They both did really well and completed the course with only one fall each.

Alex was a little bit narked as he had to go on the lower course but he still had two trips round it and down the high zip wire - Bravo Alex!

After a nice lunch we were back home to continue the huge task of packing for our 'Camping Odyssey'. We are nearly ready to go with the exception of finding accommodation in Warsaw and Gluszyca for one night each. More surfing required I think!
